Nokia N8 Clone From China Runs Android 2.1
Although it can be really cool if the Nokia N8 would be powered by Google's Android instead of Symbian ^ 3, but obviously Nokia does not offer such a phone anytime soon. That said, a clone N8 Nokia has surfaced, which seems to do exactly that. We have previously cloned N8 before, but how many of them are running Android 2.1? This device, called iZinn CJ-3 is China, and is powered by silicon from Rockchip. Specifications of this device includes a 3.5 inch screen, 5 megapixel camera, and HDMI output. The price of it has not been mentioned so far, but it should be available in China this month.
Nokia N8 TV ad might have really happened (Phone Arena News)
The new ad below for the Nokia N8 starts with a situation taken from real life. Two men are sitting at an airport and notice that every flight is canceled. Why? Checking his Nokia 8's web browser, one man sees a story that volcanic ash is forcing all flights to be grounded, a situation that did happen in April/May of this year. Renting a car, the pair set off for their destination using the handset's navigational capabilities (presumably using Ovi Maps). A quick trip to answer nature's call results in the car getting stripped in record time (Hey, this is supposed to be taking place in Europe, not New York City) and the duo rely on the generosity of a stranger who gives them a lift. At a restaurant with a big screen set, the N8's HDMI out line is used to play a movie downloaded from Ovi's Video on-demand. Pictures are taken of the journey home, using the phone's 12MP camera and Xenon flash. Bottom line, the stripped car is towed, the men end up home and life is wonderful because of the N8. Not yet launched, it looks like a Q3 release for the first Symbian^3 device.

Camera shootout: Nokia N8 vs Sony Xperia S
For a full review of the Xperia S, you'll have to be patient for another week and wait for Phones Show 165. Of particular note is the instant capture facility, where you press and hold the camera button with the device in standby mode and it comes alive and snaps more or less immediately. Very handy indeed for 'oh, wish I'd snapped that but it was all over too fast' moments - especially in light of the time taken to keylock toggle the N8, press and hold the camera shutter button to launch Camera, half press to focus and then press all the way to snap. On the Xperia S, you can take a photo two seconds after thinking of it - on the N8 the fastest I've got it down to is six seconds.
But it's not all about speed. The 2012 Xperia S is reckoned to have one of the best smartphone cameras in the world - there's no doubt that it captures more detail than the iPhone 4S's camera, but the latter probably wins out in terms of producing more pleasing images, I'd say (at lower resolution). However, both units produce photos which aren't as detailed as those from the 2010 Nokia N8 - the much larger sensor, the Carl Zeiss optics and the Xenon flash all add up to images which still rule the phone world in March 2012.
